S-"Who is a faithful, sensible servant, to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his household and feeding his family?" Mt 24:45
The faithful servant is one who counts the cost, they intend to finish the task before them. (lk 14:28-30) Preparation takes giving their whole life over to God and trusting him with the results. Allowing a death to self, and putting Christ in a position where He is able to direct and control our steps with out our interference. Before I said "yes" to running the half marathon, I had to really think about what it would take to finish the race. I counted the cost; loss of sleep, pain and discipline. I died to my selfish desires... comfort. I trained my body because I wanted to have what it took to finish the whole race. Death to ourselves doesn't mean we wait for that great opp. We should be training here today, doing the tasks set before us, and allowing God to direct our steps. Daily obedience develops us into a faithful and sensible servant!
